Virginia Holtje

Virginia (Ginny) Alberta Holtje, 86 born in the Inwood section of Manhattan and more recently residing in Brown Mills. N.J. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Virginia was an administrator/social worker for several “CARE” providers. She enjoyed cooking, artwork, travel and in her late 4os she attended Fordham University and received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology. Most of all Viginia enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grand children.

She is predeceased by her parents Albert (WW1 Vet.) and Helen Hartung, her loving husband, George Ronald Holtje (2007) and is survived by her son, George R. Holtje, Jr. , his wife Amy, four grandchildren, Chase, Gunner, Emma and Xander and two great grandchildren, Karter, Kade and her partner Tom Urban.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 2 – 6 PM with a 4 PM prayer service at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, N.J. Interment will be private at a later date.
